Brothers in the Animal Kingdom
This introduction speaks about two brothers who argued often
and their dad sat them down to tell them a story from his past. Their dad told
them how they should “Stop fighting every second and appreciate each other”. I
think this lesson can be applied to almost every family with kids. Siblings
tend to fight and bicker with each other over extremely trivial things which is
just human nature I would have to guess. I think that with age this goes away
and siblings start to reach a time of peace with each other. Once this is
achieved many situations become more pleasant and they often look back on past
times with regret.
A Karmic Hero
The introduction to A Karmic Hero is very intriguing. From
the first paragraph I was interested in the story and was very excited by the
entire introduction. The storyline was a new concept to me and the introduction
provided an insight to what the story would be about. The styling of the first
page could be a little more interesting however, the author did a good job in
the placement of the pictures. The picture came after the concept they were
writing about which allowed the reader to picture this concept in their head
before seeing the authors interpretation. I liked the interactive feature of
the storybook as I read through it. I found that this helped to engage me as
the reader.
Zoo Animal History
Zoo Animal History presents an entirely new topic to me in a
very fun and creative way. I liked the idea of a “tour” for this story. The
preview of the tour was a imaginative way to give the reader insight to what
the following story would be about. The actual layout of the introduction is
fairly plain but I think that helps the reader focus on the creative writing
style.
